The Ayodhya Ram Mandir is built on a site that Hindus believe is the birthplace of Lord Ram. In the 1500s, the Babri Masjid was constructed at this location, sparking a long-standing dispute. The conflict deepened in 1992 when the mosque was demolished, taking the matter to court. After years of legal battles, the Supreme Court ruled in 2019 to allow a temple to be built at the site. In January 2024, the Ram Mandir was finally inaugurated — a historic moment for millions of devotees across the world.
