Do you Know

Mahavir Swami, originally named Vardhaman, was born around 599 BCE in Vaishali, present-day Bihar, India. Raised in a royal family, he was known for his compassionate and thoughtful nature from an early age. At 30, he renounced all worldly comforts and spent nearly twelve years in deep meditation, strict discipline, and the practice of non-violence. At the end of this spiritual journey, he attained Kevala Jnana — complete knowledge — and was thereafter celebrated as Mahavir, meaning "Great Hero."
