Do you Know

Khatu Shyam Mandir, located in Khatu village in Rajasthan, is dedicated to Khatu Shyam Ji — believed to be Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata. According to legend, Barbarika was a mighty warrior who willingly sacrificed his head to Lord Krishna as a test of devotion. Krishna blessed him, saying he would be worshipped in Kali Yuga by the name Shyam. His head was buried at Khatu, where the temple now stands. Devotees lovingly call him "Haare Ka Sahara" — the support of those who have lost all hope. Millions of pilgrims visit every year, especially during the Phalgun Mela, seeking his blessings.
